Master the basic skills of sketching and painting with Ipoh artist Chen Choon Yau.

Sketching is the art of capturing a moment on paper in a short amount of time. The workshop covers the use of lines, watercolour, image sketching, photo sketching as well as indoor and outdoor sketching.

With a combination of theory, demonstration by a local artist, and hands-on sketching exercise, you can master the basic skills of sketching and develop your artistic talent.

Sketching Workshop

10:00 am : Briefing on sketching
10:15 am : Playing with lines and watercolours
11:00 am : Demonstration by tutor, pictorial sketching exercise
12:00 pm : Lunch
12:45 pm : Short summary and sharing
01:00 pm : Demonstration by tutor, photo sketching
02:15 pm : Outdoor sketching
03:30 pm : Tea break
03:45 pm : Discussion and sharing
04:30 pm : End of workshop

Travel notes

You no need to have experiences in sketching and drawing, I will guide on how to sketch and painting towards landscape or buildings in a casual way. Just enjoy yourself as a tourist.
