India is a subcontinent of nationalities, which celebrates people from different backgrounds, religions and cuisines. My hometown is in Mangalore, the chief port city that lies between the Arabian Sea and the Western Ghat mountain ranges. It is located about 350 km west of the state capital, Bangalore.

Mangalore was ruled by several major powers, including the Portuguese, so we are blessed with a diverse culinary tradition consisting of closely guarded recipes, handed down for generations.

In this hands-on cooking class, you will also learn to put a healthier twist to your dishes, so you can feel awesome every day! We will cook Kori Rotti (chicken curry), served with a main rice dish, vegetable, salad, dessert, pappadams and a traditional drink.

Practical cooking class in your host’s home.

Starts from 11.30am. This is a private culinary experience in local expert's home that will put a big smile on your face. You will learn how to cook delicious Indian meals. I am sure that you will enjoy every bite of it!

Cook Kori Rotti

A delicious chicken curry made with spices and coconut milk. The curry is eaten with crunchy bread called Rotti which is sourced from the market and a staple in most Mangalore homes. Served with a main rice dish, vegetable, salad, dessert, pappadams and a traditional drink.
