In collaboration with Tourism Selangor, LokaLocal is honoured to be hosting an exclusive sketching workshop hosted by Shaq Koyok, a contemporary artist from the indigenous Temuan tribe. Now only will you learn how to sketch with a skilled artist, you may also gain deeper insight on each indigenous group, as well as their traditions, beliefs and plights.
Selangor International Indigenous Arts Festival returns for its fifth installment this year at Shah Alam Botanic Park, Selangor. Meet & Greet session with Shaq Koyok
Shaq Koyok is an Orang Asli painter with an affinity for the natural world. His materpieces are driven by his passion for activism, especially for where indigenous rights are concerned. His work has been featured in Australia, England and the United States. He hopes that his art would raise awareness on the struggles of his people.
